On the evening of March 17, aka my Birthday! Nicholas and I took off to Memphis Tennessee on our first vacation alone together! We arrived in West Memphis, AR at 12:20 am. The following morning is when the most fun began! well you know I didn't follow the rules. I wasn't letting a mere possibility of being knocked unconscious ruin my chances to fulfill a life long dream. So the moment came on March 18, 2017 at 11:18 am that I met Nicholas, the 17 foot tall brown eyed giraffe that I would plant a small humble kiss on before crying my eyes out from pure joy. I gave the human Nicholas my camera and said "go to town" and was not disappointed by the results. Unfortunately the illegal kiss was not captured. At one point I was posing for a photo and one of Nicholas’ ears flicked the side of my head, completely knocking my glasses off my face. You can completely guess which photo depicts that, but human Nic couldn’t have taken a photo at a better time. I realize some of the photos are blurry. That was pretty much my fault. (I left the camera on manual focus. Nic didn't know any better. I'm even still so filled with joy that I get all squeaky and excited when I talk or think about it. I just have to say Thanks to the Memphis Zoo for not kicking me out after I broke one of your rules because I really enjoyed taking photos of the other amnimals (am-ni-mals) too. I'm incredibly humbled to have experienced this opportunity, yes I know I'm being dramatic, but when dreams come true, you can't help but feel like you've walked on the moon. So essentially, this was the best birthday gift I've ever received to date other than life itself. Pictures below courtesy of my sweet human boy, Nicholas!
