The adventure to South Louisiana was a bit gloomy in comparison to my expectations this go round due to flooding and tragedy in Baton Rouge and surrounding cities. There was no natural disaster. No levees broke, no hurricanes landed. It just rained. And rained. And rained in the week before Nic and I went to visit family. There are no words I can use to express how sorry I am for the things lost in so many lives this week. Luckily, Nic's family's property was mostly safe. No water got in the house or garage. It's times like these, when so many people loose earthly possessions that we realize the people in our life are all that matter.
